NOW HIRING: Motion Graphics Designer

As a motion graphics designer for OTN, you will be responsible for creating captivating visual elements that enhance the overall appeal of our programs and promotional materials. You will play a crucial role in transforming ideas and concepts into visually stunning animations and motion graphics.

The Day to Day:

  • Collaborating with OTN general manager and show executive producers to understand project requirements
  • Conceptualizing and designing motion graphics and animations for various shows, programs, promos and other content, adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency for each individual program
  • Developing compelling title sequences, lower thirds, transitions, interstitials and other graphical elements to enhance storytelling and maintain audience engagement
  • Creating animated infographics and data visualizations as needed

Must Haves (or the ability to learn these skills relatively quickly):

  • Passionate about making everyone’s content look top-quality
  • Ability to use Adobe suite of products (especially Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere) to create compelling motion graphics
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling
  • Efficient and able to work within given project timelines

NOW HIRING: Colorist

OTN is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Colorist to join our post-production team. As a Colorist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal of our productions by ensuring that color consistency, style and mood are expertly managed across our video content. This position is ideal for a student passionate about film and television production with a keep eye for color and detail.

The Day to Day:

  • Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, and editors to understand the desired look and feel of each project.
  • Perform color correction and grading to enhance the visual quality and consistency of video content.
  • Utilize color grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro) to adjust color balance, contrast, saturation, and other visual elements.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to OTN’s visual standards and guidelines.
  • Provide creative input and suggestions to achieve the desired aesthetic for each production.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assist in training and mentoring other students interested in color grading and post-production.

Must Haves:

  • Experience with color grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Strong understanding of color theory, color correction, and color grading techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Passion for storytelling and visual media.
